Moment Magazine on "The Birds and The Bees"

As part of its bimonthly "Ask the Rabbis" feature, Moment Magazine asked me to respond to the question "When and how should Jewish parents talk to their children about sex?" My answer appears in the December 2006 issue of Moment and can be found here.

Congratulations for presenting a Torah perspective under the "Sefardic" label, when it seem pretty clear they were trying to avoid the word "Orthodox" at all costs.

To be fair, in the first issue that included me, Moment characterized me as "Sephardic Modern Orthodox", as you can see at http://www.momentmag.com/5766/oct06/MOM-2006-10_askrabbis.html.

I was the one who requested the change, since in the Sephardic community we don't really have denominational distinctions like Orthodox, Conservative and Reform.

Rabbi, the links you provided are dead. Is there any other source for these articles?

Ah ha! I figured it out. Moment Magazine has changed the path where it stores past ask the rabbis posts. They no longer use the Jewish year in their file path; consequently, you will now find Rabbi Maroof's response here:

http://www.momentmag.com/Exclusive/2006/2006-12/200612-AskRabbis.html

This new file path convention is true for all past ask the rabbi past postings. Convert the date in the file path and you should find the post.

I hope this helps.
